Chappell Roan is showing off some very fresh new ink. The The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess musician just added a delicate new design to her collection of body art and it’s as fanciful and delightful as you’d expect.
Roan, who has a handful of tattoos already, recently welcomed a new design to the family: an elegant swan, nestled on the underside of her arm. According to the musician, she’s been “very into swans… as of late,” hence the bird design choice. Roan worked with tattoo artist Hichi on the design and placed it on the same arm as her most intricate tattoos, but because it’s on the underside, it’s more easily hidden under costumes and her casual off-duty clothes. The swan’s head, which is decorated with two stars, is gently tipped down and it holds a ribbon in its mouth, which ripples and loops across the base of the design, ending with two more small stars. Despite its larger size, the swan is definitely dainty, with a balletic beauty fit for a swan—or a Midwest—princess.
