Elsewhere in the editorial, we see Rock wearing a double-liner look with an exaggerated wing extending far past the inner and outer corners of his eyes, plus another slash of color just underneath the brow. Makeup artist Booya used a kaleidoscope of vivid color for the sunset-inspired shadow look, including GRWM Cosmetics Face Card Shadowplay Colorplay Velvet Matte Eyeshadows in hot pink, yellow, and orange tones. (GRWM Cosmetics is based in the Philippines.) In another shot, Rock wears his hair in bubble pigtail ponytails paired with a bright aqua eye shadow and pink lip combo. Hello, summer glam inspo!

In the interview, Rock opens up about his childhood in the Philippines—he was born there in 1998 and moved to Hawaii at age seven—and his first beauty icon, his grandmother. “My grandma means so much to me,” he shares. “I became her shadow from the ages of two to seven. I would always watch her put on makeup before church.” Her “blush and three Revlon lipsticks” are a vivid memory for Rock, who thinks of her every time he gets glammed up.
After over a decade in the beauty, fashion, and social media world, Rock continues to make his mark. “Now I’m not just a last-minute addition so the campaign looks diverse,” he says. “I’m the first one they think of. A lot of us Filipinos are taught to make ourselves smaller for others. But you got to shove your way to the front, and say ‘Look at me.’”
