In the first few seasons of Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw wore her hair in big, bouncy blonde curls. (OK, she was brunette-adjacent in the pilot, but that doesn’t count.) The curls were so ubiquitous that it was even a plot point when Carrie briefly started wearing her hair straight. As the seasons progressed, however, the signature Bradshaw curls slowed almost entirely to a stop, and Parker herself also began wearing her hair in loose, beachy blowout waves, a look she has remained faithful to for years. However, we got a whisper of Carrie curls at the season three premiere of And Just Like That, and we’re really hoping they make an appearance in the next installment.
Parker bridged the gap between her usual waves and the classic Carrie curls (c-c-c-curls, if you will) for the event, wearing her hair long and loose and deeply parted to one side. Instead of the loose blowout bends and slicked-back buns we’re used to seeing on the star, she opted instead for more defined waves with lots of texture and volume—not quite curls, but close! (For a similar look at home, try styling with a three-barrel iron, then run your fingers through your hair to separate the waves and give them a little “oomph.”)
